About the role We are looking for a hands-on Backend Developer to build and maintain production APIs and services. This is an IC role: you write the code, ship it, and stay with it in production. You will work closely with the rest of the team every day — product, frontend, and other engineers — and you need to be easy to reach during working hours.

What you will do

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in a live multi-tenant product Own features end to end: data model, business logic, integrations, tests, and rollout Integrate with third-party systems (REST APIs, auth, webhooks, retries, mapping messy payloads) Write and review SQL and schema migrations; keep data correct under real traffic Debug production issues and follow them through to a fix — not just file a ticket Work with frontend and product on contracts, edge cases, and delivery timelines Review code, give clear feedback, and keep the team unblocked Stay available on team channels during working hours and respond promptly so work does not stall
