About the Role

The Fractional CTO is a technical leadership hire. You will own the architecture, build roadmap, and technical execution of Unified Core PostgreSQL platform, starting with an audit and extension of the existing web interface, while working directly with the Founder to translate product strategy into shipped, working software. This is a builder role, not a director role. You will write code, make architectural decisions, and lay the technical foundation the platform needs to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and upgrade the current web interface (Next.js, Supabase)
• Architect and lead development of the Unified Core PostgreSQL platform
• Translate product strategy into technical roadmap, milestones, and shipped software
• Own technical quality, security, and scalability from Day 1
• Work closely with the Founder and early team across Media, SaaS, DaaS, TaaS
• Write production-ready code and lead by example

What We're Looking For

• Polished backend and/or full-stack technical skills (PostgreSQL, Supabase, Next.js)
• Hands-on experience architecting scalable data platforms
• Ability to work independently and drive technical execution
• Previous startup, scale-up, or greenfield build experience
• Experience with payment APIs (e.g., Stripe) and external integrations (e.g., WhatsApp API)
• Understanding of digital supply chains, trade, or African markets is a plus
