Most of the team works remotely across Australia and Taiwan, and we can discuss subsidies for co-working spaces for senior engineers. We're entirely distributed — all three founding team members are Taiwanese, with two in Taichung and one in Sydney.
What you'll be doing!
- Build new critical features for the Storipress web platform by working closely with the product and design teams
- Analyse and optimise the performance and reliability of the web app
- Build high-performance, dynamic web applications with technologies such as Vue, Webpack, Nuxt, ES6, etc.
- Take complete ownership of projects from design (collaborate with the design team) to implementation and deployment
Required Skills
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong Computer Science background — a university degree helps assess baseline ability but is not required.
- Professional experience with VueJS or another modern JavaScript web framework (React, Angular, Ember, etc.)
- Experience with modern JS libraries and tooling
- Familiarity with GraphQL
- Familiarity with git
- Proven ability to ship beautiful, stable, high-performance web applications from start to finish.

- Experience with Typescript
- Open-source contributions

Salary range
- $780,000 ~ $3M TWD/Y. We are mostly looking for senior candidates; we are also open to exceptional candidates for junior roles. People of all experience levels are encouraged to apply. We may be able to offer you a junior role.
- Up to TWD 2.5M in company stock options awarded on performance, seniority, and culture fit. The value of our company stock has increased by more than 400% YoY.
Working hours/rest
- Core working hours are from 9 AM ~ 5 PM Taiwan Time (GMT +8). For the first six months, you can start/finish earlier/later (+/- 2 hours) based on your preference/work style (we are flexible).
- Once you have worked with us for 6+ months, you are given the freedom to dictate your work hours.
